Junior Research Group Leader (m/f)
The mission of the German Institute of Human Nutrition (DIfE) is to perform experimental and clinical research in the field of nutrition and health, with the aim of understanding the molecular basis of nutrition-dependent diseases, and of developing new strategies for prevention, treatment, and nutritional recommendations.
Currently, the main research areas of the institute are the
• Pathogenesis of obesity and type-2-diabetes, as well as its cardiovascular complications,
• Role of nutrition in the development of cancer,
• Biological basis of food choice and dietary habits.
We are seeking a highly motivated person with an excellent scientific track record in one of these research areas and the readiness to cooperate with other scientific departments (
www.dife.de). The selected candidate will obtain attractive start-up funding and is expected to raise additional external funds. Funding will be for a three-year period with the possibility of an extension. The position is immediately available. DIfE is an equal opportunity employer.
