As part of the academic development process at Aarhus University, the Faculty of Social Sciences and Aarhus School of Business (EQUIS accredited) merged on 1 January 2011 to form Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences. Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences is one of four new faculties at Aarhus University and will on several parameters become the largest university unit of business studies and social sciences in Denmark, with a wide academic scope and several strong research communities. The final decision on the overall structure of the faculty including the departmental structure will be made during the spring of 2011.

The Department of Business Administration at Aarhus University, Business and Social Sciences, invites applications for a professor/associate professor position in consumer food choice. The position will be linked to the MAPP Centre for Research on Customer Relations in the Food Sector. MAPP is a world-class research environment dealing with questions relating to the marketing of food and drink, and has consumer behaviour and consumer-led product development as key competence areas. The position is a 5 year position. The successful candidate will be expected to take appointment as soon as possible subject to mutual agreement.
Research activities will be integrated into the research portfolio at the MAPP Centre, and it is expected that the applicant will take an active role in the acquisition and leadership of external research projects in the consumer food choice area both at the national and the European level, and has experience in conducting research in consortia composed of research institutions and industry participants. The applicant will join the team of senior researchers at the MAPP Centre and will participate in strategic and management tasks related to the operations of the Centre. Excellent teaching skills and a superior track record of publications in renowned refereed journals as well as good abilities to communicate with stakeholders in the food industry are required, as well as good teaching skills. Furthermore, it is expected that the applicant will be able to teach in English.
Candidates, who are found qualified for the position may be invited for an interview and may be asked to give a test lecture. The committee is authorized to ask for supplementary material if this is deemed necessary.

Permanent employment as an associate or professor at the Business and Social Sciences requires completion of the supervision course provided by the Centre for Learning and Education at the Faculty of Social Sciences. Business and Social Sciences refers to the Ministerial Order on the Appointment of Academic Staff at Danish Universities (the Appointment Order) under the Danish Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation.
